Alaina describes her music as Country/Americana with some rock and soulful influences. Recently, her self titled album was nominated for Best Americana Album Of The Year at The San Diego Music Awards. It also won Best Country Album at The 2013 LA Music Critic Awards. Her current influences include Grace Potter, Joss Stone, Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow. She met producer/musician Billy Alexander (FEEL, John Waite) in the summer of 2011 and the two began to write a batch of songs that later become Alaina’s debut EP entitled “Gypsy Girl” (available on iTunes and physical CD). Alaina released her latest full length self titled album in March 2013. Alaina and Billy wrote the first song with Ron Blair of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
Alaina's songs have been featured on TV. "More" was featured on ABC's The Vineyard, "Fall From Grace", on The Hallmark Channel's "Garage Sale Mystery", and "Telling Time" was featured on The Last Call, Carson Daly's show. One of her newest singles “I’m A Mess” was aired on 102.1 FM KPRI San Diego, 95.1 KFROG Riverside, and in the college circuit on KXSC USC Radio AND KKSM Palomar Radio. You may have seen Alaina with Steve-o as she didn't stop singing on the new show “Killer Karaoke". With all those snakes on her Steve-o couldn't believe she did it.
Alaina was honored to be named an Artist To Watch in a CBS Los Angeles article. In the last year she has supported some great artists, Lee Rocker, Martha Davis and The Motels, Casey Abrams of American Idol, Jonny Lang, Macy Gray, 3 Doors Down, Aaron Lewis and is scheduled for Anna Nalick, Marc Cohn and Lukas Nelson and Promise Of The Real.
